inSIG 2026 Fellowship Terms and Conditions
Welcome to the 11th edition of the India School on Internet Governance. Being selected as a fellow is a wonderful achievement and comes with an important set of responsibilities. To make sure we maintain a highly productive and respectful learning environment at IIT Bombay, we ask all selected fellows to read and agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Attendance and Punctuality
- Mandatory Presence: Fellows must be present for all full day sessions on September 5, 6, and 7, 2026.
- Certification Eligibility: Complete attendance across these three core days is strictly required to receive your Fellowship Completion Certificate.
- Punctuality: We kindly ask you to be on time for every scheduled session.
- Active Engagement: Fellows are expected to remain present and engaged throughout the program. While Day 0 events on September 4 are optional, your full attendance from Day 1 to Day 3 is absolutely necessary to fulfill the requirements of the fellowship.
2. Conduct and Decorum
- Code of Conduct: All participants must abide by the official inSIG Code of Conduct at all times which is available at inSIG official site.
- Professional Behavior: You are required to maintain proper decorum suitable for an academic school environment. Treating the venue, speakers, organizers, and fellow participants with utmost respect is an essential expectation of this program.
3. Prerequisite Coursework
- Pre Event Assignments: Before arriving at the venue, fellows must successfully complete all assigned prerequisite materials. This includes finishing any required online courses and obtaining the preparatory certificates assigned to you by the committee
4. Accommodation Logistics
- Check In: For fellows in categories eligible for accommodation, twin sharing rooms and dinner will be provided starting in the afternoon on September 4, 2026.
- Check Out: Fellows will need to clear their hotel rooms in the morning or by 12:00 noon at the latest on September 7, 2026.
5. Travel and Reimbursement Conditions
- Reimbursement Eligibility: For fellows who qualify for travel support, reimbursements will only be processed if you meet the full attendance requirement for September 5, 6, and 7, and successfully follow all the terms of the fellowship program.
- Indian Fellows: Eligible Indian Fellows may receive a travel reimbursement of up to 10,000 INR upon the submission of valid travel bills.
- Committee Discretion: The Fellowship Committee and the Organizing Committee hold the final decision regarding all travel reimbursement approvals and fellowship terms.
- International fellows : Please note that International fellows, returning alumni, and local participants are not eligible for travel support.
