inSIG 2024: Instructions for Fellows
The 2024 edition of the India School on Internet Governance (inSIG) is to be a face-to-face edition hosted jointly by the inSIG consortium of Internet Society India Chapters of Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Trivandrum, and IIM Bangalore.
The dates of inSIG 2024 is 1 to 3 October 2024 (Day 1-3) with Day 0 events on 30 September 2024. The venue will be Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B), Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru, India, Pin Code : 560076
inSIG2024 will have the following Fellowship categories:
- Indian Fellows (25 seats that includes 1 seat reserved for specially-abled persons) with travel reimbursement of maximum 10,000 INR (on submission of travel bills), twin-sharing accommodation, food, and inSIG event fee waiver. The decision of the Fellowship committee will be final regarding travel reimbursements.
- International Fellows (15 seats) with twin-sharing accommodation, food, and inSIG event fee waiver but with no travel support.
- inSIG Alumni are also welcome to apply for the current edition of inSIG. The number of seats will depend on the funds available. Returning fellows would be provided with twin sharing accommodation and food but no travel support.
- ISOC Chapter Fellows (about 5), to be internally selected from Indian Chapters who are jointly organising inSIG 2024.
All applicants in categories 1, 2 and 3 above are required to complete the Fellowship Application form on the APNIC Fellowship Management System, available here (requires registration).
Local participants from Bangaluru will be selected through a separate local process after ascertaining the number of seats available. No travel and accommodation will be provided to them.
Fellowship Applications will be open from 5 July 2024 to 11 August 2024. Results will be communicated on 28 August 2024 on the (inSIG) website.
Who can apply?
Any individual from India, from any stakeholder community (Government /IGO , Private/ Business sector, Civil Society, Media , Academia and Technical ) who has an interest in Internet Governance, and has in the past contributed or wishes to contribute to IG processes, may apply for this programme as an Indian Fellow.
Any individual from any part of the world can apply as an International Fellow.
Selection Criteria: Fellowship applicants will be selected to maintain the diversity of stakeholder, gender, geography and culture.
Kindly Note:
Accommodation and dinner will be provided to all fellows post afternoon of 30 of September 2024 (day 0).
Checkout timings from hotel will be in the morning or by 12:00 noon on day 3 (3 October).
